Role Overview

The Tax Accountant role focuses on Australian tax compliance and return preparation. This position is best suited for professionals with solid AU tax knowledge who value accuracy, structure, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare Australian tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and SMSFs

  • Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and deadlines

  • Review financial statements for tax accuracy

  • Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers

  • Assist with tax planning and compliance reviews

  • Monitor legislative and compliance updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • At least 3 years of Australian tax experience

  • Strong working knowledge of ATO requirements

  • Experience preparing individual, company, trust, and SMSF returns

  • Familiarity with AU tax software is an advantage
